For local business owners

Give people a better introduction to your business.

Town & City Spotlight introduces participating businesses to the communities around them. Tell us what you do in your own words, review the finished page, and approve it before anything goes live.

What you get

Your business.
In more than a sentence.

  • A dedicated public page about your business
  • Useful details shaped from confirmed information and your own answers
  • Links to your website and public business contact information
  • Your review and approval before publication
  • A way to request updates or removal later

Your Spotlight can complement your existing website and business profiles. It does not replace them.

How it works

You talk about the business.
We shape the story.

Use your phone or computer. Type naturally, or use your device’s dictation if you prefer.

01 / CODE & VERIFICATION

Start with your business.

If you received an invitation code, enter it to begin. We then verify the business and the person representing it before private owner access is established.

02 / CONFIRM & SHARE

Tell us what people should know.

Review useful business facts, correct anything that changed, then continue through a guided AI interview that follows the details of your business instead of a generic questionnaire.

03 / REVIEW & APPROVE

Nothing goes live until you say so.

We turn the confirmed information and interview into polished copy. You review the exact draft, make corrections, approve it, and Town & City completes a final quality review.

Reviewed participation

Local businesses can
ask to be included.

Invitation codes make it easy to start, but they are not the only way in. If your business is in one of our active communities, you can contact us and ask to be added.

Does a Spotlight cost anything?

No. Town & City Spotlight is free for participating businesses. There is no fee to create or keep your Spotlight.

What if I did not receive an invitation code?

Email us with your business name, city, website or public business profile if you have one, and a public contact number. We will review the business and reach out about the next step.

Why do you verify businesses?

Verification helps us keep the collection accurate and confirm that the person reviewing or approving a Spotlight is authorized to represent the business.

Do I have to write the page myself?

No. Share information in your own words. The guided interview is designed to gather useful detail, and Town & City turns the confirmed information into a polished draft for you to review.

Can I update or remove my Spotlight?

Yes. Verified owners can request changes or removal. Updates are reviewed before appearing publicly.

Does Spotlight guarantee better search rankings or AI recommendations?

No. A Spotlight gives customers and search systems another clear source of information about your business, but rankings, traffic, leads, citations, and recommendations are not guaranteed.

Don’t have an invitation code?

Let’s get to know your business.

If your business is in one of our active communities, email your business name, city, website or public business profile if you have one, and a public business phone number. We’ll review the business, verify the appropriate contact, and reach out about getting your Spotlight started.

Express interest

Requests are reviewed. Approved businesses receive an invitation code; expressing interest does not grant interview access.
